PRODUCTION OF COMPOST FOR MUSHROOM CULTIVATION
We offer modern, energy efficient and optimized solutions for the industry producing mushroom growing substrate.
Stagel 1
The first stage of the compost production process takes place in special bunkers or outdoors, in the open air. The raw materials used are: straw, chicken manure, gypsum. They are laid in layers on a concrete slab and sprayed with technological water. All raw materials are machine-mixed and watered again during this process. Then the mixed material is laid in heaps. It is important that it is done on a ventilated floor, where the ventilation system is used to pump air directly to the piles, and help the fermentation process. The heaps are regularly turned over using a combine harvester. After about 12 days, the material turns into phase 1 compost.
Stage 2
Phase 1 Compost must be transported to tunnels. For this purpose, a loader and conveyor equipped with a special device to ensure an even distribution of material is used. The compost is heated, pasteurized and conditioned. This way, phase 1 compost is transformed after a weekly process into phase 2. The phase 2 substrate can be sent to customers after the mycelium has been added. Part of the compost is further processed and, thanks to incubation, is transformed into phase 3.
Stage 3
The phase 2 compost is extracted from the tunnels, and then put back in using a conveyor to inoculate the mushroom mycelia. This process must be carried out under strict hygiene regulation. Infection from outside can destroy all work. After this procedure is completed, compost is transported to the next tunnel. There it is re-aerated using fans. The incubation process takes about 2-3 weeks, when the mycelium spreads over the entire compost. Its color changes from brown to reddish. Mycelium also becomes visible. In this form, phase 3 compost can be transported to mushroom growers.
DESIGN COMPANIES
The entire construction process begins with the design of the investment, taking into account all the parameters that must be met to ensure the final effect of the amount of compost produced. The following figure shows an example of the construction of the composting plant.
Parameters Phase I
Total capacity of phase I – 5300 tons per week.
Boot weight silo – 6600 tons per week.
The total number of bunkers – 18 pieces.
The length of each of the bunkers – 45 m.
The width of each bunker – 8.8 m.
Parameters of phase II and III
Total yield of phase III – 3200 tons per week.
Total Phase II yield – 3600 tons per week.
Total number of tunnels – 68 pcs.
Each tunnel section – 43 m.
Width of each tunnel – 4 m.
Discharge of tunnel mass – 200 tons of phase III.
Communication lines providing the best logistics. Tunnels are designed in such a way as to maintain a good level of hygiene.
